Becca is 9 months old, how did that happen?
How did this happen? How did this precious little girl, who I just photographed making her entrance into this world yesterday (ok, so not really), grow so fast? I mean come on she's almost one. She is growing into this amazingly independent little girl. When I asked her parents if they had anything they specifically wanted to do for her nine month session they as long as she had something to stand with she would be happy. She loves to stand right now. She's so big!
I hope your Friday is as bright as a big yellow bench! -Rachael
Maternity: Ashley, Michael, and Kenley
It would be nearly impossible for an outsider to understand my relationship with Ashley. I've "known" her for close to three years. We know a lot about each other. We have watched each others kids grow. We have watched each other succeed as mothers even when we felt like we were failing. We have lifted each other up when we felt down. There has been happiness, sadness, drama, laughter, disbelief, disgust, joy, pride, and every other thing you could think of in the past three years. But until a month ago we had never met in person. We belong to a special group of women. We are moms, we are wives, we are friends, we are women. We hold each other up when we can't stand on our own. We give advice and we listen. We meet online, and sometimes in person (for those of us lucky enough to), and we are a large group of moms who truly love and respect each other. I'm sure I can speak for Ashley in saying that we as moms are so truly blessed to have found each other in such an amazing group of extraordinary women.
With all of that being said it was amazing getting to meet Ashley in person. I wouldn't normally bring my family along with me to a session but since I drove several hours to be able to do this session they came along and to be quite honest I wanted her and Kenley to be able to meet my boys because we all feel so intertwined. I am so happy I got to work with them and can't wait to do their newborn session.
The kiddos met and instantly started holding hands, it really was the sweetest thing ever.
Have a fantastic week everyone!-Rachael

Sabrina, Vic and Quinten
I couldn't say enough about these people if I tried. Sabrina has been one of my best friends since....birth I suppose. I kind of think we were made for each other. We were born four months apart as cousins and grew up as friends. We are very different from each other and yet very much alike at the same time. It's so funny because our boys are the same. They are three months apart and quite the opposite of each other but when they get together they are so happy to be playing together. Now I have had my second boy and Sabrina and Vic (who is also pretty awesome himself) are having their second boy and he will be (give or take) four months younger than my little one. I am sure they will probably be opposites too but so happy together.
I am so blessed to have this family in my life and I love them with all of my heart. I am officially on call for the birth of little Liam and I cannot wait to meet him. Here are some shots from their maternity session.
May all of you be blessed with a Sabrina in your life-Rachael
Kylee's Newborn Session
I was so excited when Kelsie and Josh asked me to do Kylee's newborn pictures. I love, love, love it when I get to do a couples maternity session and their newborn sessions. I love getting to watch these babies grow. I asked Kelsie what the theme of Kylee's nursery was and she told me it was hot pink and zebra. So I ran with it. I love when I get to plan out these sessions. I really enjoy putting my time into making something special for each baby I work with!
Have a sweet week y'all-Rachael
A Very Fresh 48 with Kylee
Kylee wasn't even 24 hours old when I met her and she was already surrounded by so much love. She had so many family members and friends where there to see her when I arrived. You could feel the pride beaming from her daddy and the love flowing out of her momma.
Another cake smash!
When it rains it pours. I had three back to back cake smash sessions. This never happens. It sure was fun though. Marlee and her family are new to Oh Baby! but I was sure glad they found me. Marlee didn't really want to dig into her cake but her daddy really wanted her to dig in so he helped her a bit. This is the first family cake smash I have had and it was so much fun.
I am a mom and a photographer. My love of motherhood led me to photograph all things from bellies to birth and beyond.
