Gracy's Newborn Session
Gracy was 7 days new when she came to see me and she was a joy to work with. She slept most of her session except for a few brief moments when she would wake and side eye me. She made my job easy! She made her arrival on Valentines day so I'm sure she will always be surrounded by love.
Have a lovely week!-Rachael
Kayla + Tommy Downtown Maternity Session
Kayla and I were emailing back and forth the day before her session and she was telling me she was excited and nervous. Let me tell you these two had nothing to be nervous about. They rocked this session. They showed up looking amazing and even though it was a little chilly and muddy that day we had a great time!
I hope all of you are enjoying this awesome spring weather. I know we are!-Rachael
Meet Kynleigh! She was 2-3 weeks old when she came to see me. I was actually lucky enough to see her twice (she was not happy with me at all during her first session). She was wide awake both times, she is literally the only baby I have ever seen yawn with her eyes open, luckily for me though that meant I got to see her beautiful eyes!
Week 9: Doors
It wasn't hard for me to decide what doors I wanted as my subject last week. What was hard was finding the opportunity to shoot them because of all of the fun snowy weather we got last week. I've thought our church was beautiful from the first time I saw it. It is actually what drew me to try attending it. These doors are on the older part of our church and it has a beautiful archway and architectural detail. Some of my husband's and I's wedding pictures where taken in front of these doors by the very talented Erica Clark from ericaclarkphotography.com. Seriously if you haven't seen her work go check her out, she is a super talented wedding/boudoir photographer and just a swell person all the way around but I digress. The day I took this it was snowing like crazy and not the pretty big snow flakes you want to catch on camera but the tiny, fast falling, makes it look like your image has dandruff kind of snow. So I decided to do a close up of the unique handles to the doors.
And just so you can appreciate the awesomeness of these doors here is a full image of them. Notice the nice overlay of dandruffy looking snow. Have a fantastic week everyone. - Rachael
