Week 3: Triptych
If you are like me right now you are thinking what the heck is a triptych. So I looked it up. Turns out its just a fancy word for an image cut into three panels OR a series of 3 images made to tell a story. Usually these pictures are in succession so that it clearly tells a story. Here is a good link to help explain: http://digital-photography-school.com/diptychs-triptychs-5-prime-examples/
Trying to stay true to why I started this challenge I decided I wanted to do something with more of a lifestyle feel to it because it isn't something I do often. I also wanted it to be of the worlds cutest 2 year old because as I have stated I want this challenge to have a personal note for myself. So I thought and thought and decided I will set up finger painting for him and shoot that. My thinking was my kid would get cute and messy and have a blast and it would make for an adorable triptych. The thing is, I forgot that he is in fact my kid. He doesn't like to get his hands messy. He doesn't often get wild and crazy with things. So what I got wasn't messy and crazy. What I got was clean and tame. None the less he is still adorable though.
I give you the worlds cleanest toddler:
Here are some others from the same "shoot" I decided to choose the one I did because for me it told more of a story but as a momma I still love these:
I am a mom and a photographer. My love of motherhood led me to photograph all things from bellies to birth and beyond.
